Volunteers and low income seniors, 55 and over who qualify for a
state sponsored senior employment program, are needed to care for cats
and do cleaning at the Cats n’ Us Cat Shelter at Dover.
Recent renovations will make cleaning much easier noted Mary
Marshall, director of Cats n’ Us. Volunteers are needed everyday,
including weekends, and hours are flexible.
“You can volunteer one or two days a week or once a month a few hours
each day,” said Marshall.
Donations of paper towels, dish soap, old blankets and bath towels
are also needed. Many cats and kittens, including barn cats, are
available for adoption. Shelter open hours are Tuesday and Thursday 5 to
7 and Sunday from 3 to 6.
